Maybe you’re doing the best you can. I don’t know. It doesn’t feel like it, but maybe you are.
I’m starting this blog post not even really knowing what I’m going to write, or if it’s going to make sense, but I’m just going to write and go with it.
At the beginning of this month, when we started a new schedule for the time that the kids would spend with me and the time that they would spend with their dad, I wrote this post.
With classes starting up again tomorrow – classes to teach and classes to take – I thought I’d write a quick post about what I did over the holidays.
Lots of people have said hurtful things to me. We’ve all been hurt, to some degree or other, by the words other people say.
There are two instances that stand out to me more than any of the others, though.
I got a text from my ex the other day.
In it, he told me how terrible he feels right now.
A little more than a week ago, I wrote this post. It was a Sunday night and I had just found some things that brought past events rushing back. And I sat at my computer blogging and sobbing, sobbing and blogging. There was nothing about it that felt “brave.”
