I am overflowing with memories. The same ones I have always wanted to be able to put into words. They are so vivid in my mind. The neon colours have turned pastel over the years, but the imprint is so finely etched, I will never lose them. Sometimes, I fear otherwise.

A few months ago, a blogger published a controversial post about pay equity. The young woman took an unpopular stance on gender income difference and the concept of equal pay for work of equal value: it didn't matter if a woman earned less than a man, she should be happy just to be working…
I am desperately saddened by the latest news about Jill Meagher. Mixed in with my sorrow for this poor young woman and her family is fury. I'm angry about the condescending crap spouted by so many people over the last few days about "women's safety." This is my response.
So tell me. How far can I walk on my own at night?
Britain is keen to point the finger at states, mainly Islamic, that still uphold male guardianship. Male guardianship is where women must obtain permission from men (generally fathers or husbands) to do anything: work, study, travel. There’s anger for Saudi Arabian women who can’t drive, or Yemeni girls who are married off as children. Yeah, it's really backwards and totally undermines women's rights.
Why do "we" tend to blame the victim? When I say we, I mean humans in general....
At this moment, I’m not my happy, humorous self. I’m angry. You might even say… I’M PISSED OFF!
I’m talking about the Steubenville, Ohio rape case. The one where this past week we’ve been subjected to the two young men who raped the unconscious young woman, and now are breaking down in tears. We’ve seen and heard the media speak about their lives being ruined.
I don't actually do Facebook, but the point is still the same: if you have time to do things online, you do have time to exercise. Well, I do anyway.
I have power walking dvds and I can complete a mile in 12-15 minutes. Well, shoot! I can knock out that much time just browsing one board on Pinterest! Once you realize all the benefits of working out (nearly) every day, you won't be making excuses about time anymore, and you'll just do it!
