My kiddo is 2.8 years old, and the girl is fierce. I think most parents agree that any toddler can be a handful, and mine is no exception. I make jokes that she could go a few rounds with the Devil himself and win, but really, she's pretty normal. Well, on the high energy and hard headed end of normal. I don't know a lot about parenting, since I've only been a step-parent for four years and a bio parent for less time than that.

About six weeks ago, Z’s teacher called me into the school for this meeting. Then, the very next day, I had this meeting with Z’s principal.

We agreed that I would still take Z to the doctor to rule out anything more than Z just going through a difficult time because of his dad and I separating.

Demons and ghosts

There must be something in the air/water/pixels these days.  Maybe it's the colder weather, less daylight, the upcoming holidays, or a combination of things.  But everyone seems to be having a particularly rough time lately.  Depression, anxiety, life problems, etc.  Other bloggers have eloquently described their own struggles lately, and I wanted to be one of the cool kids so now I'm taking my turn.
